Hi, I'm Ka, the maker behind Awaken by Sun.

Awaken by Sun began on a small folding table in my tiny apartment in Hong Kong.

What started as a creative outlet slowly grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined.

Since then, I've continued this journey through the UK and now in Calgary, bringing my sewing machine, embroidery machine, and countless ideas with me along the way.

Today, every piece is still thoughtfully designed, illustrated, embroidered, sewn, packed, and shipped by me.

I love creating things that feel personal.

Whether it's a handmade scrunchie, an embroidered portrait of a beloved pet, or an ultrasound keepsake celebrating a new beginning, each piece starts with someone's story.
